The Open Data Institute, one of the best data scientist in the world, and DIY plots
Week 40-2023 [Issue 10]
Welcome to The Repo! 🚀
Great work deserves to be shared. Especially in data science.
Each week, I'll curate three gems from the data science community:🗄️ Re: Remarkable Repository 💻 P: Prolific Programmer 🏢 O: Outstanding OrganizationI hope you find them as valuable and insightful as I do.
You can find all recommendations in the GitHub repository at finnoh/repo!

🗄️ Repository | Create your ggplots interactively, and explore data rapidly
The purpose of this add-in is to expedite your data exploration, enabling you to extract meaningful insights. With this tool, you can interactively create visualizations using {ggplot2}, filter data with {dplyr}, and even retrieve the generated code.
Explore your data interactively by drawing bar plots, curves, scatter plots, histograms, box plots, and sf objects. You can easily export the graph or obtain the code to recreate it.

The Open Data Institute
🏢 Organization | “We want a world where data works for everyone”
The Open Data Institute (ODI), is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Sir Tim Berners-Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt.
Their vision is a world where data is accessible to all, especially in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The ODI collaborates with entities to enhance data practices, advocates for favorable policies, engages with businesses to promote ethical data infrastructure, and partners with organizations worldwide to optimize data for societal benefit.
Their work spans research, consultancy, training, and community engagement, driving advancements in data infrastructure, skills, and innovation to foster a better data ecosystem.
I recommend this thought-provoking article, for a calm afternoon with a cup of tea. It deals with tensions between privacy and computations: Modern PETs and confidential computing: no way out from GDPR obligations.
