The Turing Way project is an open-source book that promotes techniques for reproducible and open research.
Even better: If you are interested in contributing to the project, you can: On their website / GitHub repository, they provide resources on how to do so!
One of the main goals of the Turing Way project is to help researchers make their work accessible to other data scientists, and to enhance collaboration. This includes guides on project design, communication of research findings, research ethics, and reproducible research.
Some simple topics, which can provide a benefit to every researcher, are:
I am sharing this with you because I believe that it is one of the rare projects, which does not get enough attention yet.
Rarely are open-source books this important for the research community: Is there a better way to write a cookbook / establish guidelines for open and reproducible research, than by collaborating, as a community of researchers, on an open-source resource on the topic?
